Old vinyl peeling, cracking, or leaking? We remove the old membrane, inspect and repair the plywood, and install a brand new waterproof surface.
Vinyl decking doesn't last forever. After 15–20 years the membrane starts to break down, especially in Calgary's freeze-thaw climate. If you're seeing any of these, it's time to act before water damages the plywood and framing underneath.
Adhesive failure lets water get under the membrane and into the plywood below.
UV exposure at Calgary's altitude breaks down PVC over time, causing the surface to split.
Low spots where water pools instead of draining. Standing water accelerates membrane breakdown.
The most serious sign. This means plywood rot has already started underneath the vinyl.
The UV protection layer has worn through. Once faded, the vinyl deteriorates rapidly.
A typical vinyl replacement takes 1–2 days depending on deck size and plywood condition.
We carefully strip the existing membrane and all old adhesive. If you have railings, they're removed and reinstalled after.
Every square foot of plywood is checked for rot and soft spots. Damaged sections are cut out and replaced with new plywood.
Fresh vinyl is adhered to the clean, solid surface with proper seam welding, PVC metal drip edge, and sealed wall connections.
Our install team does a thorough quality validation prior to leaving, checking every seam, edge, and connection to ensure you're completely satisfied.
The most important part of any vinyl replacement is what's underneath. If the plywood is compromised, new vinyl won't fix the problem; it'll just cover it up temporarily.
During every replacement, we inspect the entire substructure. If we find rot, we replace the affected plywood sections at $7 per square foot before any new vinyl goes down. No cutting corners: the new membrane needs a solid, clean surface to bond properly and last.
Our quote tool includes a section for rot repair, and we confirm the actual condition during the site verification visit. You'll know exactly what to expect before we start work.

If your deck has railings, they must be removed before new vinyl can be installed. The membrane needs to run continuously under all railing post locations to maintain a proper waterproof seal.
After the vinyl is down, railings are reinstalled and every fastener that penetrates the membrane receives warranty-approved caulking. This detail matters because it's how we keep your deck waterproof for years to come.
You can choose to have us handle the removal and reinstall, or do it yourself to save on labour. Our quote tool walks you through both options with transparent pricing.
Calgary is one of the hardest environments in North America for outdoor surfaces. Our decks endure intense UV at high altitude, extreme freeze-thaw cycling (sometimes within the same day during a chinook), wind-driven rain, ice, and months of snow load.
Budget vinyl products installed 10–15 years ago simply weren't built for these conditions. Common failures include UV-bleached surfaces that crack under foot traffic, seams that lift and allow water underneath, and drip edges that corrode and pull away from the deck edge, sending water straight into the plywood substrate.
Modern Tufdek membranes are engineered specifically for these conditions: weft-reinforced for dimensional stability, polycarbonate top coat for UV and scuff resistance, and hot-air welded seams that form a single continuous waterproof surface. It's a generational improvement over what's likely on your deck today.
Every deck is different. Here are the main factors that determine your price. and our quote tool accounts for all of them.
Vinyl is priced per square foot. A larger deck costs more in material, but the per-square-foot rate stays the same. no volume penalties.
Tufdek (premium) vs Providence (value). the difference is roughly $2/sq ft installed. Both are waterproof; Tufdek offers superior UV resistance and more colour options.
If we find rot during removal, damaged plywood is replaced at $7/sq ft. Most decks need some repair. our quote tool lets you estimate this upfront.
How your deck meets the house matters. Vinyl siding can be tucked under (standard). Stucco requires a reverse drip edge (+$15/ft). We handle both.
Existing railings must come off before new vinyl goes down. We can handle removal and reinstall, or you can do it yourself to save on labour.
Stair vinyl is quoted per step. Column wraps, drip edge replacement, and siding work are all itemized separately. no hidden costs in a lump sum.
Our instant quote tool calculates removal, plywood repair, and new vinyl installation. all in one estimate.
